Located along the active Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard corridor in Fayetteville, Blue Top Liquor is a contemporary retail project designed to balance visibility, efficiency, and a strong commercial identity. Designed by Fugitt + Wheeler Architects, the building responds to its high-traffic context with a clear architectural presence and an intuitive customer experience.

The design prioritizes straightforward circulation and product visibility, organizing the interior to support efficient browsing and point-of-sale operations. A clear entry sequence and open retail floor create an accessible and welcoming environment, while strategic layout decisions enhance both customer flow and operational functionality.

Architecturally, the building is expressed through clean lines, durable materials, and a bold yet refined composition that reinforces brand identity. The façade is designed to maximize street visibility, utilizing proportion, signage integration, and material contrast to establish a recognizable presence along MLK Boulevard.

Material selections emphasize longevity and low maintenance, aligning with the demands of high-use retail environments while maintaining a contemporary aesthetic. The building’s scale and massing are carefully considered to relate to the surrounding commercial context while standing out as a distinct destination.

As part of Fayetteville’s ongoing commercial growth, Blue Top Liquor demonstrates how thoughtful retail architecture can enhance both customer experience and business performance. The result is a highly functional and visually cohesive building that supports retail efficiency within a modern architectural framework.
